I did it. I finally met my daughter Tiffany. Shiloh, Shamen, Raven, Alex, Beci, and I went to Marietta to the Chinese buffet and met Tiff.
She’s beautiful!
I don’t get to see my kids often (if at all) so this was very special to me. I get down in the dumps a lot about my kids, and this little jaunt will keep me going for a while.
We’ve already made plans to see each other again in a month when I get paid again.

We’re spining our wheels trying to get the house up to shape. The carpet cleaner guy is coming tomorrow but it may take several treatments to get Alex’s carpet in passing shape. The piss smell is so strong you choke in there and he’s not even been in the room for a week. If it takes more than one treatment we’re fucked, because I couldn’t afford to do another 50 dollar treatment to keep the house.
To top it off, now they’re pissing on the floor in the bathroom. The Gnats went from Alex’s room one door down to the bathroom where there’s piss on the carpet in there because the boys don’t know how to aim when they pee. The rule in the house is to sit to pee even if you’re a boy but do they listen, fuck no.
We’re still trying to get some replacement carpet for the living room but no dice so far.
I’m so paranoid we’re going to lose our house that I’m starting to hear and see things.

Turns out the top shape I talked about the house being in last post wasn’t entirely true. Alex made snide comments about having to help Raven clean her room, comments like that she has a bunch of trash under her bed… and his room was soaked in piss. The “cleaning” he did was the exact thing he accused Raven of. He piled trash and clothing high over two outlets that were plugged in, creating a fire hazard. It doesn’t need to be said that piss soaked walls and carpet fails inspection too.
If we don’t have his room turned around, cleaned, and set up we lose our house on September 4. We’ve got professional cleaners coming Tuesday to do the carpet. Alex is in serious shit right now. He thinks I should reward him each day he doesn’t do something wrong, and my idea is that he doesn’t get rewards for doing and not doing the stuff he should be doing and not doing all along. We don’t often get to pat ourself on the back for being normal. Alex is actually pissed off that he is in trouble!
If we lose the house, I don’t know what we are going to do.

Today’s been a pretty good day. I’m set to get more servers in a couple weeks, my wife and stepson went grocery shopping, we’ve got the house in top shape for our HUD inspection tomorrow, we have cigarettes, and I am about to install PCBSD on my laptop which is a dream of mine… a BSD laptop is so rare.

My mother is visiting. I owed her some money so I paid her back. She’s really tired so right now she’s taking a nap in my bed.
I just realized my mother is almost 60 years old. I always looked to her like she was the fountain of youth. She looks like she’s in her 30s still!

I’m watching FoodNetwork on TV and it looks like the hostess is coming out of the TV. I can smell the food, too.

I used to be best friends with Eric Park and Chris Park, two brothers. I’ve seen Chris a couple times in the last few years but Eric is basically dead to me. The last I knew he had a son and he kicked his second wife to the curb.
I wish things were like the old days, when I had a ton of friends and saw them all the time.

So the past few nights I’ve gotten the wish I wished on my last post. I stayed up to almost 2 AM both nights so far.
Of course, I pay for it in the morning… I woke up at 11AM today. This seems to be a standard wish format… you get your wish but it always bites you in the ass. I don’t want to be able to stay up late if I miss half the day. I want to stay up late and get up at a regular time.
My medications generally put me out around 8PM every night. Even if I take them late I go to bed then. I can stay up later if I take them extremely late but that has adverse effects on my psyche.
I miss a night life. It used to be that my wife would stay up late with me and we would talk or watch movies or make love. All three of those are rare anymore.
If I change my medication time to allow for a night life I stay asleep until after noon. It’s a problem with no solution.
